Welcome to my site, my name is John!
Digging clams is fun, relaxing and makes me happy! During the Pandemic I started thinking about ways to make it easier and more efficient. I designed a Clam Rake Gauge for the recreational clam digger that fastens quickly to your favorite rake!
I hand make every Clam Rake Gauge myself. They are made carefully, fit most clam rakes and are available in white with more color options to come soon!
The idea came to me when I was digging clams in a Rhode Island salt pond. Other gauges either hang from a lanyard around your neck, hang from your belt, or are in your pocket. Too cumbersome! I needed one that was available at the point the clams are in the rake's basket. Makes sense to me!
